By creating an account or using Furmiliar Faces you agree to these terms. If something here does not work for you please do not use the service.
What Furmiliar Faces is
Furmiliar Faces is a hyperlocal pet registry and recovery service for the neighborhoods we currently support. We help neighbors register pets, share verified-ish profiles and coordinate when a pet goes missing.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and lawfully responsible for any pets you register. Do not impersonate another person or list animals you do not have permission to represent.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the registry or alerts to:
- Surveil, stalk or harass people or pets
- Run commercial pet trading, breeding pipelines or unrelated sales
- Scrape, resell or exploit neighbor data for non-recovery purposes
- Spam, phish or otherwise make the neighborhood worse
The product exists for pet safety and neighborly help. Anything else is off-limits and we may suspend accounts that abuse the platform.
Your content
You keep ownership of photos and other content you upload. You grant Furmiliar Faces a non-exclusive license to host, display and distribute that content within the platform and related communications (for example alert tiles and masked recovery threads) as described in our Privacy Policy.
Service quality and liability
We run a best-effort service. We do not guarantee that any pet will be found or that alerts will reach every neighbor at the perfect moment. Recovery depends on real people checking the app, responding to SMS or push and acting kindly. You acknowledge that outcomes vary and use the service at your own risk to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas without regard to conflict of law rules.
